RainMaker Hospitality Breaks Ground on Eco Focused TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Richmond, KY

Partners with EcoGreen Energy Solutions on innovative design and construction plan.

LEXINGTON, KY, April 20, 2016 – RainMaker Hospitality, a leading hotel management and development company, broke ground today on a 93-room, four story, TownePlace Suites by Marriott. The property is located in Richmond, KY, and is scheduled to open during the first quarter of 2017. The extended stay hotel project is adjacent to route I-75, conveniently located directly off exit 87.

Though RainMaker (www.rainmakerhospitality.com) is an established owner/ developer in the community, this is the first time the ownership group has developed a project featuring a Marriott International brand. The new construction project utilizes the future forward Generation IV construction prototype, which features expanded public space areas, enhanced breakfast buffet, and eye catching facade.

RainMaker is comprised of a partnership including Prakash Maggan, Ketan Patel, Sunil Patel, Dipak Patel, Bhavisha Patel. “We are excited to break ground on the TownePlace Suites by Marriott. The hotel will be a welcome addition to Richmond as the only exclusive extended stay hotel offering surrounding businesses and leisure travelers in a spacious, upscale residential-like atmosphere, an appealing alternative to the traditional hotel room,” says Maggan.

According to the Mayor of the City of Richmond, Jim Barnes, this project is a boon for the community. “Richmond is a vibrant town with many fast growing industries. RainMaker is part of the vital economic engine here, and this commitment to build such a great hotel is an essential building block for our economy. We look forward to working with them to make this a successful project and look forward to more projects with RainMaker in the future.”

As an eco-conscious member of its community, RainMaker focused on creating a long-term plan that significantly lowers the property’s dependence on natural resources such as water and electricity. A smart partnership with EcoGreen Energy Solutions (www.EG-ES.com) reduced overall project cost by 30 percent. EcoGreen achieved this success without compromising guest experience by creatively value engineering the property and developing long-term operational cost saving solutions through an innovative conceptual design.

“We love helping forward thinking hotel companies such as RainMaker maximize profitability for the entire life cycle of the property. Meaning we are able to achieve massive savings not only during the construction process, but also every day the hotel is open, “explains Scott Parisi, President of EcoGreen Energy Solutions.”
